Old Navy Holiday Style #OldNavyStyle

I had the honor of attending Old Navy’s Holiday Press Preview on behalf of Mom Generations. I will say that although I walked into the event space dressed in a simple summer dress as NYC temperatures were in the mid 80s, I couldn’t help but get into the holiday spirit. I had visions of setting up our Christmas tree, sipping on hot chocolate in our matching Old Navy pajamas as we settle into life as a family of 4.

The theme of the holiday collection is Together All Ways and I must say; the line embodied just that! It was a beautiful mix of patterns especially plaids, layering and luxe materials that look great together in a multitude of ways.

I have always been a fan of Old Navy not only because of their quality of clothing but their affordable price points allow for me to truly experiment with fashion for my family while staying on trend without breaking the bank.

The holiday 2014 is no exception but I will say it likely is my favorite Old Navy line yet. Some of my favorites include the mix of varying plaids, paired with a red beanie and navy blue wool coat along with a pair of simple pointy flats. I could easily see myself wearing this outfit any weekend with my kids. I could also make it more office professional by adding a pair of heels and a simple white shirt and blazer.

For the man in your life, the simple plaid shirt and khaki skinny bottoms and a layered sweater with jean jacket can never go wrong. I love how they added a pair of patterned socks to add to the edgier look.

For the kids, plaid is also a mainstay in the line but this boys sweater may have been my all time favorite. As a family, one of our holiday traditions is to break out our ugly sweaters for a few holiday pics and I can assure you the “This is my Xmas sweater” won’t make the cut. It’s not only cool but the material is so luxe that any boy would be happy to rock this sweater. I loved the pairing with with a royal blue skinny and plaid skirt tied around the waist.

As far as a family coordinated outfit, perfect for holiday cards 2014, I would go with this fashionable family look:

Overall, I loved all the pieces in the Old Navy 2014 holiday line and walked away with a new appreciation for pattern for mixing patterns. I always was a bit uncomfortable in my styling skills in that department but looking at these looks has inspired me to look at my closet a little differently and definitely venture into plaids.

I can’t wait to see these styles in our local Old Navy stores! Happy Shopping!
