I love me some shoes.
I do, I love buying shoes and always getting a few new pairs each season to go with the current trends and styles.
I also love buying shoes for my family, too. It’s a blast for me purchasing shoes for my husband, sons and daughter. I love taking my time to find the “perfect” matches for them.

There’s one thing I’ve always loved and appreciated about Rack Room Shoes, they have spotlighted real customers – instead of professional models – in all of their seasonal advertisements over the past decade. That’s right, real people like you and me… it has always made Rack Room Shoes more real and approachable for me. I have loved that they have honed in on “real” people who use their products and not just models hired for an ad.
That’s right. It could be me. It could be my sons. It could by my daughter. And yes, it could be my husband. I just think it’s awesome that they really go for real customers because nobody knows their brand best than a true and loyal customer.
Every year Rack Room Shoes hosts their Models Wanted contest, inviting families to enter for a chance to participate in a glamorous photo shoot and be featured on the retailer’s website, advertising inserts and display signage in more than 385 stores nationwide. And… oh, yes – all Models Wanted winners receive five-star treatment, including professional hair and makeup and chauffer services at the photo shoot.
To celebrate and commemorate Models Wanted 10th anniversary of featuring real customers, Rack Room Shoes brought back participating individuals and families from the last 10 years to return to the set as Rack Room Shoes models. They invited them to enter its “Models Wanted 2014: Anniversary Edition Contest” for the chance to be selected as models again. Fans on Rack Room Shoes’ Facebook page voted for the families they wanted to see featured for a second time. Each winning family was also given $5,000 from Rack Room Shoes to donate to the charity of their choice.
Well… good news, Rack Room Shoes is on the hunt again!
Rack Room Shoes is currently in search of families to be the next Models Wanted participants for 2015! Winners’ photos will be showcased throughout the retailer’s 2015 seasonal advertising campaigns, displayed on the website and social media channels, in newspaper ads and in-store signage!
