I love having the opportunity to try out products at home. Since we’re a family of 7, it’s always fun to try out products that are convenient and something we’ve never had before. I was approached a couple of months ago by Avalon Bay Ice Maker. I’m going to be honest, the reason I jumped at it was because we do a ton of entertaining of family and friends throughout the summer and fall months, not to mention neighborhood functions and pool parties at our pool club, so I thought it would be so much fun and so beyond practical to have a Avalon Bay Ice Maker in our life.

I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been at a neighborhood block party this summer and someone needs to leave to go buy ice or go load up at someone’s house on ice! It’s a pain, it really is… so if you have something that can eliminate those pesky little trips, go for it – right?
What I LOVED immediately about the Avalon Bay Ice Maker (we have model – AB-ICE26R) is that it’s small, lightweight (20 pounds) and it truly fits right into your kitchen. We love the red color because it really does add a fun splash of fun into our kitchen! It’s just a really great and easy way to make homemade ice. The best is, too – you can bring to the beach and away on day trips, but you can also use right at home if you want to! We love to make frozen drinks, our own ice cream and just have it on hand all the time for guests… so it’s been super convenient for us! Believe me… when you have 4 boys that will only drink water and juice WITH ice, it gets very convenient! 🙂
So what can you produce with it? That seems to be the question we get most often from our friends.
Avalon Bay Ice Maker Features
You can produce up to 26 lbs. of ice per day with Avalon Bay ice maker. Another bonus is that you don’t have to connect it to a water line. There’s one step. You fill with a 1/2 gallon of water and you’re done! Exactly what the site says is what happens… “Each cycle takes at 6-13 minutes and produces 9 cubes of ice.”

I’m telling you, this is an AWESOME item to add into your life! It’s something you don’t think about needing, but when you have one – you can’t get enough of the convenience. I think about 5 of our neighbors have gotten one just this summer! Once you’ve used it enough, you’ll know what I mean!!
