Real conversation with my William yesterday. He’s been telling me he doesn’t “need anything for Christmas.” So I pressed a little harder – “There’s nothing at all you would like? Not one toy? Not one video game? Nothing?”
His response made me laugh.
William: Well, I wouldn’t mind a nook in the house to do schoolwork and to read. Maybe some pillows in it.
Me: OK. So a nice and comfy place.
William: Yeah, maybe with some shelves.
Me: OK.
William: And maybe a door. And a roof.
Me: Anything else with it? (Trying to not laugh)
William: My name carved on the door would be cool.
Me: So basically, you’re asking “Santa” for your own bedroom.
(He shares with his brothers.)
HI Audrey,
I really enjoyed your tips on increasing traffic. You laid things out very simplistically, which I am so appreciative of, thank you! I have four boys under the age of 13, so I get understand what a busy mama you are. There is nothing like having little boys, by the way!! I have the added blessing of caring for a special needs son, which has been full of heartaches, challenges and blessings. I am now sharing my story about Sam on my blog which seems weird to disclose such personal feelings over the internet. Thank you for sharing your insights!
