National Clean Out Your Fridge Day

November 15th was National Clean Out Your Fridge Day.

I’m going to be honest with you, I didn’t have a chance to clean out my fridge that day.

But… it was a GREAT reminder to make sure I did it.

With 5 kids in the house, my fridge gets crazy. There’s always stuff just sort of shoved inside. I swear my sons love to see how much they can fit in without stuff falling out of it! I’ll find baby food jars, juice boxes, Halloween candy (yes, true!)… you name it. It gets overwhelming at times because our fridge is always stocked… it’s the hub of our kitchen in many ways.

Well, it’s time to go through it and CLEAN IT OUT.

I want to get rid of any expired food.

I want to organize and clean it.

I want to keep it fresh.

Arm & Hammer Baking Soda has some great tips in order to get my fridge where I need it!  I can get it sparking clean inside and out with a little Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, an inexpensive non-harsh cleaner and freshener.

Arm & Hammer

What are 2 tips?

1. Sprinkle Arm & Hammer Baking Soda onto a clean damp sponge or cloth and use it to wipe down the front of the refrigerator and inside drawers and shelves. Then rinse and get rid of the residue with a clean, damp towel, and let dry.
2. Store an open box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in your refrigerator ongoing to ensure the freshest tasting ingredients. This is especially important when storing garlic, onions or fresh herbs and spices, which will transfer flavors to more delicate vegetables, meats and cheeses in the fridge.  Be sure to change the box once a month for optimal freshness.

Absolutely worth it!
