Cornbread Sausage Stuffing

Cornbread Sausage Stuffing  is one of the best and loveliest recipes ever! It’s just divine! It’s also so hearty and yummy. I’ve made this recipe many times since this recipe was put on the blog. My good friend Sheri McShane is a contributor for! Sheri has the blog: When the Kids Go to Bed. She is the one who created and crafted this recipe! I can’t take credit for it at all! Sure everyone loves a little StoveTop, but why make that when you can make flavorful Cornbread Sausage Stuffing  so easily? Give your dinner guests something a little different this Thanksgiving.

Cornbread Sausage Stuffing Ingredients:

1 lbs sweet Italian turkey sausage
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion
3 celery stalks
4 sage leaves
1 rosemary sprig
3 cups chicken stock
1 pkg cornbread stuffing
Salt & pepper

Step by Step of Cornbread Sausage Stuffing

Preheat oven to 350°

Heat up a large skillet and add your olive oil. Dice up the onion and celery and toss them in. Add some salt & pepper. As the veggies are cooking remove the sausage from its casing then add it to skillet. Once the sausage has browned, add your herbs. Make sure to chop them finely first.

Pour the cornbread crumbs into a bowl and add the sausage mixture along with the 3 cups of chicken stock. It’s easiest just to combine it with your hands. Give it a taste and add salt and pepper as desired. Into a baking dish it goes. Bake for 30 minutes.

Amazing, right!? Cornbread Sausage Stuffing is the best!!!!!

Now you can add cranberries to this before putting in the baking dish, or even sauté some granny smith apples in there while the sausage is cooking. My husband doesn’t like to mix his sweet with savory, but I think either option sounds amazing!

Next on the menu…. cranberry sauce with orange zest!
