We’re a busy family, there’s really no other way to say it. We’re constantly on-the-go and our calendar is always full with swim practices, swim meets, basketball games, swim lessons and school activities – never mind work stuff for me and Matt. As much as we are a busy family, there’s one thing for sure about us — we love to make time to be with our family and friends. Nothing fills us up more than spending a day or afternoon or evening with family and friends… laughing and just thoroughly enjoying each other.

But here’s the thing, when we are with family and friends, we want to be with them. With 5 kids, believe me… it’s never easy to have people over or head somewhere without a little “kitchen” help. When I entertain, I need (and want) my food options for me and my guests to be easy and seamless. I don’t want to be cooking away all day or prepping all afternoon before guests arrive. I want it to be smooth and easy and comfortable for me and my guests.

This past weekend we were invited over to our dear friend’s house to watch the BIG GAME between the Patriots and the Colts. We’re New England people, so we were rooting for the Pats (even though my husband and sons are Steelers fans first and foremost). Originally we invited our friend’s over to our house, but a late afternoon swim meet got in the way, so we decided to head to their house instead. I always feel bad showing up with our crew anywhere because… well, we have 7 people in our family. That’s a lot of mouths to feed. 🙂

Qdoba Mexican Grill had reached out to me this past fall to see about catering a family function we were going to be hosting or having with family/friends. Since my husband had surgery this past November, we really hadn’t been doing much entertaining on our own, but with him fully healed January 1st, I jumped at the chance to have Qdoba Mexican Grill cater the Football Party we were having with our friends Sunday night.

We ordered the Burrito Bar, which was perfection because everyone was able to create what they wanted to eat.

CILANTRO-LIME RICE

BLACK BEANS – Beans are fat-free and 100% vegetarian.

MARINATED GRILLED CHICKEN AND STEAK

ALL THE EXTRAS – Three salsas- Salsa Roja, Salsa Verde, Pico de Gallo, Cheese, Sour Cream, Hand-Smashed Guacamole

HANDMADE TORTILLA CHIPS

Handmade white corn tortilla chips tossed with lime and kosher salt.

Everything was absolutely amazing!

The best part was seeing all the kids devouring the food, too!

Another huge amazing perk is that the Qdoba catering team deliver and set up your order just the way you want it. Placing an order in advance will ensure you get your preferred delivery time. The delivery team was simply awesome. They set everything up perfectly, walked me through what everything was and made sure everything was properly placed before they left.

I’m telling you, it was seamless.
