Good Sports wants Kids to Party for a Great Cause #PartyLikeAGoodSport

I’ve always been a fan of the national nonprofit, Good Sports. As a mom of 4 sports-centered, active boys, I love and appreciate what Good Sports does for kids. They help lay the foundation for healthy, active lifestyles by providing athletic equipment, footwear, and apparel to disadvantaged young people nationwide.

Pretty incredible, right?

It’s amazing how kids can really grow and learn and bond and foster healthy life-long habits from being involved in sports. It’s something that I am truly passionate about for my own children, and it’s so powerful to see Good Sports doing the same for disadvantaged children. With the cost of participating in youth sports steadily increasing and becoming a luxury for many struggling families, Good Sports helps by partnering with sporting goods manufacturers to assist sports programs in need.

I’m happy to share that Good Sports is encouraging all kids and their families to do good and get involved, too!

How can we all help?

Good Sports is empowering kids nationwide to help their peers get in the game and live active lifestyles by throwing a party for a good cause and asking guests to donate to the charity in lieu of gifts.

Good Sports has created a “Party Playbook” for kids and families with easy-to-create flyers featuring the Good Sports logo and fact sheet. This allows kids to get in touch with their creative sides, while simultaneously giving parents a turnkey party planning system.

Good Sports has even partnered with Punchbowl to provide custom invitations.

As far as donations go, you can either direct guests to mail donations directly to the organization or you can create a personalized party fundraising page at Fundraise.com. The key here is that every $20 donated will help benefit another child, ensuring that all kids have a chance to participate in sports.

Kids who raise $250 or more will receive a Good Sports water bottle; those who raise $500 are gifted a water bottle and a Good Sports drawstring bag, and those who raise $1,000 receive those party favors plus a backpack and the chance to match their donation to a community organization of their choice.

This is such a wonderful way to get kids and their families involved nationwide! I love it!

Since 2003, the organization has provided $12 million in equipment to more than 1,400 youth programs, impacting more than one million children in 43 states!

Amazing!!
