What My Mom Means To Me #PutYourHeartToPaper

My mother is my everything.

Mother's Day

She’s my best friend.

She’s my confidant.

She’s my shoulder to cry on.

She’s my laughter to pick me up.

She’s my strength when I’m weak.

She’s my shopping partner.

She’s my sit-in-a-coffee-shop-for-hours talking partner.

She’s my first phone call every morning.

She’s my biggest cheerleader.

She’s my always-there-in-a-heartbeat person.

My mother truly is my everything.

I’ve been very blessed in life with my mother.   Since Day 1, we’ve always had a wonderful, special bond and relationship. We’ve always been 2 peas in a pod. We look alike. We act alike. We sound alike. We are, very much… a pair.

My mother means the world to me. I literally start off my morning with a call to her. It’s my morning ritual. It’s something I’ve been doing since I first went off to college back in 1996. She would call me while I was on my way to class and we would talk about anything and everything – boys, classes, what I was wearing, my roommate, what I had for dinner at the cafeteria the night before. It was mindless chatter, but chatter that allowed me to know that she loved me and was thinking of me. When I first moved to NYC after college and my mother was a NERVOUS WRECK, she would call me on my way to work in the morning (and usually on my way home so she knew I got in!). We would talk about my boyfriend (now my husband!), my job, my trying to save money while making VERY little while living in the City and just anything that was on our minds. When I became pregnant with my 1st son while living in NYC, she would call me every morning to see how I was doing and how I was feeling. She was as invested in his well being as she was in mine, and it made me feel so special that she cared so very much. Fast forward to present day, working full-time and now a mom of 5, she still calls me every single morning to check in. The conversations are centered around the kids and what’s going on with them, but it still makes me feel so special that she cares so much about all of us.

My mother, she’s just that mom that puts in the extra effort and it means so much to me.

She’s the kind of mother that will drive with you to NYC for a job, just so you don’t have to drive alone.

She’s the kind of mother that will walk into a germ-infested-stomach-flu home to take care of you and your kids and just doesn’t care if she gets sick, too.

She’s the kind of mother that plans vacations around grandchildren’s swim meets and baseball games and dance recitals.

She’s the kind of mother that sends you beautiful quotes in the mail because she knows it will make your day.

She’s the kind of mother that would fight lions and tigers and bears for her kids.

She’s the kind of mother that would swim the deepest oceans and climb the high mountains for her kids.

She’s the kind of mom that texts you throughout the day with heart and XOXO emojis!

She’s the kind of mom that ends every conversation with, “I love you.”

She’s the kind of mom that I’m truly so proud to have… honored to have.

She’s the kind of mother that I hope my kids see me as someday.

It’s the unconditional love that she gives her kids that is so effortless for my mother.

She’s just the greatest.

She’s everything.

My mother, my everything.

That top picture looks EXACTLY like you and Victoria but judging from the styles I’m thinking it’s you and your mom. The resemblance is AMAZING!
