Hemangioma Update on Victoria: 3 Years Old

Throughout Victoria’s life I have taken the time to update about her hemangioma on my blog. When Victoria was first born with one, the very first place I went was online, searching and searching and searching for other stories. I wanted to hear from moms and dads, not just doctors about a child’s hemangioma. It was a tough first 6 months for us with Victoria because her hemangoma developed ulcers when she was 5 months old and we needed to be VERY proactive in making sure it didn’t get infected. I took the time to chronicle everything because I wanted a record for us, but mostly – truly – to share our story.

When I look at the videos I created with Victoria from the 1st six months of her life, I can see the worry in my face. I was so uncertain of how to care for it and what to do! We were BLESSED to find amazing doctors in Boston that worked with us and have been monitoring Victoria throughout her life. My first advice to any mom and dad, find a doctor you love.

I took the time this morning to create a video with Victoria. She’s 3 1/2 years old now and is a TOTAL 3 year old… as you can see! She’s here, there and everywhere! I just wanted to make sure I did a current update, not much has changed… but I wanted to give you a good gauge of the size and color.
