Red Sox Winter Weekend #SoxWinterWeekend #RedSoxMoms

We are HUGE Red Sox fans.

I’ve gotten very lucky because I married a Pittsburgh guy who is obsessed with the Steelers and the Penguins, but when it comes to baseball he’s a Red Sox guy. Which means… our 5 kids are all RED SOX FANS!!

This past weekend we were invited on behalf of the Red Sox through the Red Sox Moms program to enjoy the Red Sox Winter Weekend celebration at Foxwoods! We wanted to go last year, but the snow kept us away – so this year we were ALL geared up!! The boys were GIDDY about heading there (even with 2 of them not feeling 100%!). If you’re a Red Sox fan, this is the coolest weekend to head to with your family! I couldn’t believe how much there was to do for kids, adults – fans of all ages!!

Per usual, we did our daily family cam!!

What kinds of activities were being offered to the fans?

Player Autographs
Last year more than 40 current and former players and coaches attended the event including Dustin Pedroia, Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, and Pedro Martinez, just to name a few. Each Weekend Pass to the event comes with guaranteed access to at least one autograph session with one or two of the attending players.
Photos with Players
Get up close and personal with the players and capture the memory on film!
Baseball Insider Panels
Get exclusive look inside the Red Sox by attending one of our Baseball Insider Panels on Saturday. View panel schedule »
The Family Fun Zone will have games and activities for kids of all ages. Come on by and play an indoor game, test your fastball at our speed pitch, and take some swings in the batting cage.
Sox VR
Red Sox Virtual Reality debuted at Fenway this season and now it will be available for you at Winter Weekend!
Town Hall Meeting
On Friday evening Red Sox Ownership and Senior Management will be on hand to take questions from fans about the upcoming season. Will air on NESN, Sunday, January 22 at 6pm ET.
The Fenway Park Archives
A variety of artifacts from Red Sox history will be on hand for viewing.
Purchase Tickets
Dedicated sales representatives will be available in the Sales Garden to assist with ticket purchases for the 2017 season, including a chance to purchase tickets for summer games before they are available to the general public.
Fenway Park Fare
Throughout the day, ballpark food will be available for purchase at the Food Court and adults can enjoy a beverage at the Beer Garden.
Kids Clinics
On Sunday young fans can learn the fundamentals of baseball from Red Sox coaches and alumni.
Wally’s Breakfast*
Join Wally and his sister Tessie for a Wally-themed breakfast for kids and families on Sunday morning!
*Separately ticketed event for additional charge

As you can tell, it was a weekend of MANY THINGS to try out!!

And that we DID!!

Thank you to the Red Sox for bringing some fun to our weekend!!

Okay, so…I grew up an hour outside of NYC and was a die hard Yankee fan 🙂 The rivalry is intense! Glad your family had so much fun….I have a few family members that would have loved it. Made for interesting sunday gatherings!

What an amazing thing to do with the kids! I don’t care what team you follow — doing all those activities would be a blast! (We don’t have a huge baseball following in my state.) I bet your kids think you’re the best mom ever!
