My guilty pleasure is TV. I absolutely love watching TV, it’s my happy place. There’s nothing like putting the kids to bed after a long day, sinking into my couch and watching a really, really, really good show that captures my attention. I love when I find a show that just brings me in. The kind of show that think about when it’s not on and can’t wait for next week’s episode to air! When I find a show like that, it’s gold to me! I become completely and utterly brought into that world and I love, love, love it! I’m telling you, there’s nothing like it when you find a show just like that!

Well… I’m THRILLED to share that I have found my next favorite show and I can’t wait for it to air this week.

The White Princess on STARZ. Oh, yes… it’s the kind of show that I wait all week to see!

Drawn from the novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory, “The White Princess” is a tale of power, family, love and betrayal, charting one of the most tumultuous times in British history uniquely from the point of view of the women. The tempestuous marriage between Elizabeth of York (Lizzie) and King Henry VII, officially marks the conclusion of The War of the Roses, but the real battle for the throne is far from over.

I mean, truly… it’s everything! Just watching the preview for it gives me goosebumps! I love a show that is layered with the dynamics of love and betrayal. I mean, truly – think about it – would you rather have true love and poverty, or power and wealth? I’m a hopeless romantic so I’m going to choose love every single time, even in poverty. To have a life without love, it would be a lifeless life for me. I couldn’t imagine embracing a world of power and wealth without the connection of love and togetherness and passion. I would always feel a huge hole in my heart and I feel like it would make me a bitter person. I feel like I would turn myself off to the world and just go through the motions. I would have no life in me without love. As much as I know I would be choosing a more difficult life without power or wealth, I would know that I would experiencing life with the person I love the most and I know that would be enough for me. Love would bring me life. It’s pretty much that simple for me.

Although… I have a feeling in The White Princess the choice isn’t the one I would make… !!

As you can tell, I can’t wait to see what happens!! I mean, can The White Princess live a life without love? Is it possible? Can she trade love for power? So many questions!! This is the kind of show that you just get tangled up in and just want to know every single thing that happens next. You start to feel connected to the characters and want the best for them. It’s shows like this that really get me excited and I lose yourself in!
