AAA Travel Marketplace Show – Why You Need to Attend

For our family, 2019 is all about new travel experiences. It’s something that we committed to as a family during the last week of December and it’s something we’re sticking to throughout the entire year. As a family of seven, traveling isn’t always easy, but it’s something that we love to do. Thankfully, AAA has so many resources—both online and off—that help our family navigate the planning waters. With the AAA Travel Marketplace Show kicking off March 1 (thru March 3) at Gillette Stadium, we’ll have the opportunity (firsthand) to meet with AAA agents and see what we can plan this year.

AAA Travel Marketplace Show

AAA Travel Marketplace

If you’re like me and looking to book a vacation this year (solo or not), you must head to the AAA Travel Marketplace at the Putnam Club East at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., from March 1-3, 2019. There will be AAA expert travel counselors and more than 100 vendors representing thousands of destinations around the world. The beauty is that you’re getting up close and personal attention from travel experts who will answer your questions and book trips for you at incredible prices and exceptional value. You can’t beat this kind of treatment and access, especially when it comes to purchasing and booking a vacation.

Whenever you book a vacation—whether traveling solo or with family or friends—it’s something you’ve thought about, wondered about and mostly likely saved up for. When our family travels, we often research destinations, looking for the best family-friendly places to explore. With five kids, I want to travel somewhere where we’ll all have fun, especially since my kids are in different age brackets right now. William and Alex are teenagers, Ben and Henry are tweens and Victoria is 5 years old. I want to make sure there’s something for everyone to do, even the adults, too!

Family Beach Trip with Teenagers

I’ll never forget booking an all-inclusive vacation for our family back in 2014. It was great fun, but we missed the mark big time on finding the best resort to cover all age groups. I found a great ‘random’ deal online and just booked it. And I learned a valuable lesson on this trip because I quickly realized that what I thought we were getting was not actually what we got. I had booked two rooms (since we’re a party of seven) only to find they weren’t even near each other at the resort. I was told online that there were tons of activities for toddlers, but when I got there, I found that Victoria was too young to participate in any of them. I thought all the food was included in the package too, but learned that only ‘certain areas’ of the resort were included in the food package. I spent a good amount of money with the add-ons and that was something I was trying to avoid.

Lesson learned. Never again.

I love that at the AAA Travel Marketplace, I can sit and talk face-to-face with a AAA expert travel counselor. I can ask the questions I need to ask and get answers on the spot. I can work with the experts to find the best travel destination for our family. I love that they can work within my budget and really help me isolate what will provide the most ‘bang for my buck.’ Traveling is an investment and it’s something I’m willing to pay for, but I also know I can’t go over a certain amount. I appreciate that someone can work with me to stay within my budget.

AAA Travel Marketplace

I also love that I can bring my kids to the AAA Travel Marketplace Show. When you’re there, all guests can expect on-site-only specials, giveaways, travel presentations and a free gift* for anyone who books at the event! Not too bad, huh!? I love that added benefit! It really is a great event to attend and spend some time walking around, asking questions and visiting all of the vendor booths to find the best travel fit for you (and your family).

Make 2019 the year you take that dream vacation by booking at the upcoming AAA Travel Marketplace. You only live once, and traveling is one of the best experiences we can give ourselves. It doesn’t matter if you’re traveling near or far, time together—away from regular life—is such a wonderful gift to the body, mind and soul! We’ve already traveled this year to Boston, Vermont and New Hampshire. We’ve got 10 more months left to explore and are thrilled to have AAA help us discover where to go next!
