I drive by Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in downtown Providence at least 3 times a week. It’s attached to the most beautiful hotel in Providence and it really is a fabulous destination to stop while visiting the City or just need a GREAT place to eat. My husband and I dined there the other night – solo – enjoying a quiet and romantic date night and couldn’t stop (I mean, COULDN’T STOP) raving about the food.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar – Chef’s Table
While most guests enjoy classic steak cuts and famous Fleming’s potatoes, there’s another delicious reason to dine at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar – the Chef’s Table. We’ve never done this before and were so excited to be able to get the opportunity to do this! We’re big foodies, so this for us was a true treat!
The frequently changing Chef’s Table menu is an opportunity for Fleming’s Chefs to showcase their culinary expertise while pleasing guests with a menu filled with innovative local offerings and regional tastes. Let me share with you a little bit about Providence’s Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
Providence Fleming’s is located on the ground floor of The Residence Tower attached to the Omni Hotel near Trinity Rep, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and the Providence Performing Arts Center. Whether you’re celebrating, dining with business clients or want a night out with friends, we have created the perfect ambiance with a menu filled with your favorites and a local chef’s table that changes with the season, or whenever we feel inspired by our ingredients. Our bar is always open and our wine manager has curated a wide selection of locally selected wines, hand-crafted cocktails and spirits. Need a more private space? Our Private Dining Director is at your service.
We were lucky enough to get an outstanding waiter named Jeremy. He was amazing at explaining everything on the menu and every detail about wines, cocktails and ingredients. He recommended a specific white wine for me that I loved and gave my husband a tip on a delicious cocktail for dinner. He also walked us through Chef Almanzo Ritfeld’s Menu. Since we were going to be dining off of the Chef’s Menu, it was great having an inside look at what to expect.
We started our dining experience off with the incredible and mouth-watering…
PEACH SALAD
mixed greens, avocado, goat cheese, toasted almonds, maple balsamic vinaigrette
SWEET CHILI CALAMARI
lightly breaded, tossed with sweet chili sauce
I’m telling you right now, these starters were out of this world incredible. Every bite left you wanting more. I loved how it was truly a great way to start off our meal. Next up – Jeremy recommend for us to try the..
SLICED FILET MIGNON
lobster, corn & bacon risotto, crispy leeks, truffle butter
These photos do not do proper justice to the meals. Every single bite. I mean, every single bite was heaven. Funny story on this particular starter. I saw the big chunk of lobster on top and went in to actually cut it in half for me and my husband to split. As I was slicing it, I realized that there were even bigger chunks throughout the risotto! It’s worth every single penny!
For our entrees we ordered off the Chef’s Menu, too. I’m usually a steak and potatoes girl, so I was thrilled to try the steak on the Chef’s Menu…
HALIBUT
mussels, shrimp, baby bok choy, lemon grass, coconut curry broth, thai basil
PRIME PORTERHOUSE
24 OZ, black bean & corn succotash, johnny cake, charred scallions, chipotle butter
I was completely in awe of how incredible these meals were. I’m not a big coconut lover, but my husband is… and the halibut was one of his fave dishes ever! He said it was just enough coconut in the dish. I’m telling you – each meal is outstanding and I just can’t get over the freshness, deliciousness and passion that went into each meal. Triple thumb’s up!
We had to cap off our meal with dessert! We chose something that we’ve never had before…
GRILLED PEACHES
lemon mascarpone, bourbon salted caramel, toasted almonds
This was the perfect way to end our meal! Light, but yummy! I’m a big fan of peaches and they are perfectly in season right now so we truly got a treat!
There are so many reasons to head to Fleming’s! If you’re looking for a fabulous meal or a romantic date night, this is the place to go! I loved being able to just relax in a quiet and beautiful setting. On Mondays nights, you can join Fleming’s to enjoy an enticing 3-course menu that includes their buttery Filet Mignon and sweet Cold-Water Lobster. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate DAD, had there for Father’s Day! Father’s Day weekend, June 14-16, and treat Dad to a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring their 35 oz. Prime Tomahawk. For a drink as strong as he is — enjoy a premium bourbon tasting experience of Maker’s Mark, Basil Hayden’s and Knob Creek. If Dad prefers our Signature Eggs Benedict, they’re opening early at 10AM for brunch on June 16!
You can’t go wrong here and I’m thrilled to be sharing MORE dining experiences at Fleming’s throughout the next few months!
Special thanks to Jeremy and the Providence team for going above and beyond!

Looks delicious!
This sounds like a great place to eat.
We have a Fleming’s Steakhouse ? here in Indy! I’ve never been, mainly because I’m not a big red meat lover. But that calamari looks incredible!!
A Fleming’s opened up near us, and haven’t been there – yet. Wow, each of these looks sooo good! The steaks made me so hungry I had to run to the kitchen, but all I could find are some peanuts, they seem like sawdust as I look in awe at the lobster and salads, and dessert, too. The two steaks have me scheming how to get invited there… and teeny you, I wonder how you managed to eat all that, I hope they don’t get insulted if you ask for a doggie bag!
Looks delicious! Great place to have an amazing dinner.
That filet mignon looks amazing. I’d love to eat at this restaurant, looks like they cook some tasty dishes.
This is a great place to eat on special occasions!
I wish there was one here. The food looks amazing!
So many good things to eat! I’d leave the halibut for your husband, but I’d eat everything else.
