Holiday Lights Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo
We went Monday (12/4) night here in Rhode Island to the Holiday Lights Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo and it was so much fun for us. Victoria is obsessed with the zoo and really any animal there is, so for her… it was a dream. 
The cool thing is that the entire zoo is lit up in lights. I wasn’t expecting that. If you go to their Pumpkin Spectacular every year, you know that they section off a certain area of the Zoo for the pumpkins. I thought it would be the same thing for the Holiday Lights Spectacular, but I was wrong! The lights were glowing and sparkling all over the Zoo.

Bring family and friends to experience Holiday Lights Spectacular – Rhode Island’s brightest annual walk-through experience just in time for the holidays. Featuring festive, larger-than-life dazzling displays, this year’s event is even bigger and brighter boasting more than 3 ½ million illuminated lights that transform the Zoo’s 40 acres into a winter wonderland! Join us and ring in the season nightly from November 24 through December 31. Bundle up, grab a hot chocolate or wintertime treat, or even roast some s’mores!
From radiant reindeer to sparkly snowmen, this is a must-see New England tradition this holiday season. And for the little ones, Santa will be at the Spectacular on Thursday nights in December through Christmas. The visit is free to families who have a same-night 5 or 6 pm ticket only.
Holiday Lights Spectacular is open rain or shine. Tickets are timed-entry and available online only. NO REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULING. This program does not include animal exhibits. Make sure you get to this if you’re local! It really is a wonderful way to get into the spirit of the holiday. With the music playing and the lights glowing, you’ll fall in love with this amazing event.
Keep in mind that it’s now – December 31, 2023. Open nightly (closed Christmas Eve/Day) 5:00 – 9:30 pm, with the last admission at 9:00 pm. Tickets are sold online only (side tip, try to get there as early as you can to cut down on the crowds for yourself).
