MEAN GIRLS (movie) Inspired Hairstyle

Victoria and I went to see the movie MEAN GIRLS last weekend and loved it! It was such a girly movie and it was so much fun to watch it with my daughter. Before we headed off to the theater, I asked Victoria if she wanted to do a MEAN GIRLS inspired hairstyle with me and I got a huge YES from her!

MEAN GIRLS (movie) Inspired Hairstyle

mean girls inspired hairstyle - on wednesday we wear pink

When it comes to Mean Girls, there’s really one particular color that pops out at you – PINK. Even when we were getting dressed for the movie, we both wanted to (obviously) wear our pinks. It’s just that color that is iconic in the movie. The Burn Book is pink. The girls wear pink on Wednesday. It’s PINK.

I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do with her hair, but Victoria insisted on wearing her pink velvet bow. I knew that if she wanted to wear that then she needed a cute and fabulous hairstyle to show her pink bow off!

I decided to do a half-up hairstyle and for some extra added fun, I decided to incorporate it in my glitter gel. Every hairstyle needs glitter gel. Period. 🙂

The hairstyle that we came up with turned out super cute and very pretty. It’s the kind of hairstyle you could easily dress up or just rock with jeans and a tee shirt. I love hairstyles that are that kind of versatile.

Definitely try this hairstyle for any occasion, it doesn’t have to be for anything in particular. It’s just a good, go-to hairstyle to enjoy and make yourself feel pretty.

Hair Products for this Hairstyle

Here are the hair products that I used for this particular hairstyle.

These are the particular hair elastics I used on this hairstyle. These are my favorite because they are sturdy and durable. They don’t break and really hold the hair well. Love these!
