What is it about a simple card game that makes everyone so happy?
Oh, maybe because it’s such old school entertainment… gathering around a kitchen table after dinner and touching and feeling the cards in your hands. Or maybe it’s because a great-grandmother can have the time of her life with her great-grandchildren. Maybe it’s because a 6-year old brother can teach his 2-year old brother how to play, and be wonderfully patient with the teaching! Or maybe it’s just because time stands still and nothing else in the world matters…
… but for the the voices, the hands, the smiles, the laughter, the joy, and the memories being made.
Yep. In our home, UNO spells LOVE. Every single time.
I definitely remember that playing cards with my grandparents and siblings was so much fun and such a simple pleasure. I still love playing cards sometimes with friends. Believe it or not, never played UNO.
My grandma used to play cards with us when we spent the night. What a fun memory. Thanks for bringing it back for me.
