Tutus and Fairytales… at Ladybugs and Lilypads

Tutus and Fairytales… every little girl’s dream!

I remember when I was about 6 or 7 years old, “Santa” brought me the most gorgeous tutu for Christmas. He brought a purple one for me and a pink one for my sister Jane. It’s funny as I think back now that everything I got was purple, everything Jane got was pink – must have been a great was to “tell us apart.”

I wanted to get my best friend’s daughter a tutu for Christmas from our family. I just remember LOVING that tutu… it was girly girl to the nth degree! It was fabulous and enchanting and just everything little girls are! I wish I could find a photo of me in it. I searched all morning at my mom’s house for one — I couldn’t find one anywhere. But the magic of it… of that tutu… it’s something I’ll never forget! We used to put on dance recitals for my parents in them… pretending we were the sisters from the Parent Trap movie – you know, “Let’s Get Together…!”

So in getting back to my Tutus and Fairytales… I want to give “this” to this special little girl in our lives. I’m always asked where to find fabulous girly girl items and different and unique gifts. Well, today I’m going to let you in on my secret – Ladybugs and Lilypads. The name alone makes me happy! I love this online boutique because you can get so much there… and then some. And my favorite stuff is in their Tutus and Fairytale section… it truly is all of that come to life!

Let me just show you this…

Oh Audrey! I loved this post…my sister Sarah and I were always presented with matching outfits, mine being purple and hers always pink!!! I think that is why I gravitate towards pink as an adult, because I never got to wear it as a child!

As the mother of 3 boys, and Godmother to 3 more boys, I really wish I had a little girl to buy one of these adorable tutus for. 🙂
