This morning I made Cake Mix Cookies for my friend Jen’s (Savor the Thyme) National Food Bloggers Bake Sale (part of the Great American Bake Sale) and heading the sale in the state of Rhode Island. This sale raises money for Share Our Strength (SOS), a national organization fighting to end childhood hunger in the United States. In addition, after the severe flooding and newly homeless children and families in RI, many will need this support more than ever.
The bake sale will take place on Saturday, April 17th, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at The Pizza Place Restaurant at 43 Broad Street in downtown Westerly, RI.
I decided to make Cake Mix Cookies. My mother-in-law introduced me to this recipe. It’s super easy and they are SUPER GOOD!
Ingredients:
Yellow Cake Mix
Eggs
Vanilla Extract
Vegetable Oil
M&M’s
Directions:
Set oven to 350 degrees.
Mix Cake Mix, 2 eggs, teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/3 cup of oil together.
When mixed, stir in M&M’s.
Then place on cookie sheet and back for 13 minutes (or until golden brown).
Check out my Whrrl story from beginning to end.
Audrey-your cookies sold-out within 30 minutes and some folks even tossed in a few extra bucks while eating them–THANK YOU so much! They were amazing…In my wrap-up post, I am sending folks over here for this awesome recipe!!
Thanks for the recipe Audrey. Easy & good (if Jen says they’re good they must be GREAT).
