All my life I have heard from people, “You’re just like your Dad…” We have the exact same blood streaming through our body… I call it the “Nana-Flo” DNA. When I say it’s the biggest complement in the world to have someone say that to me, it is.

My Dad is one of the most important people in my life. Period.

My Dad is part of the reason I always wanted a big family… he and my mother made it fun and exciting and special. My Dad never missed a thing – not a swim meet, not a softball game (he couldn’t, he coached), not a college event, not one of my births (OK, he was in the waiting room, but he was in the hospital – even to NYC 2 times!). Family is the most important thing in the world to my father… and we (there’s 4 of us) all felt it – and still feel it – every single day. It is that… that very feeling we all felt and feel… that has given us the roots to grow, and become as close to being like he was as a parent as possible.

I love you, Dad… Happy Father’s Day!
