We Had Such High Hopes…

My in-laws are visiting from Pittsburgh. They have come every single summer for the past 4 years and spent a week with us. Every year they come, we always have a baby… but not this year. With Henry being 2 years old, we had some high hopes for a week of Rhode Island day trips and excursions. Monday was a tough day because I had just arrived home from BlogHer and had lots of work to catch up on… so we planned on going to Block Island the next day. Tuesday arrived and we realized the Block Island ferry was sold out. Today arrived with high hopes of taking everyone to the pool and just relaxing together for the day… until my husband and father-in-law decided to “quickly” fix the upstairs toilet which has been broken for 3 months.

I was excited it was going to get fixed until I heard screaming from upstairs and GUSHING (GUSHING) water. The valve had broken off and water was going everywhere. Not fun…

So our day of pool time for everyone turned into toilet fixing time for my husband and father-in-law.

On hour 5… I caught a video 🙂
