Giving a Romper a Whirl…

Two years ago my mother took me shopping for my birthday.  It was one of those times when it was like going back in time.  She said, “I want to give you $150 to spend, so go crazy! But… buy things you normally wouldn’t buy AND for yourself.”  As every mom knows, when given the opportunity to shop, we usually spend the money on our kids.

But… I wasn’t allowed to with this money! It was all about me and my birthday (and given this opportunity, I ran with it!).

We spent hours at the mall that day.  We went from store to store to store and I stocked up on a ton of stuff.  One of the places we popped into was Forever 21.  If you’ve ever been in Forever 21, you know you can get TONS of stuff for very little money, so I took this opp to have a little fashionable fun.

I bought a romper.  It was like $20.

I didn’t wear it until last weekend. (Mom, don’t kill me!) 😉

That’s right, it took me 2 years to wear it.  And I don’t know why.  OK, well I kinda do know why.  I think I kinda felt it was too young for me… or something silly like that.

Because once I wore it… I wanted more. (No joke.)

And that’s exactly what I did this past week, I went out and bought another!

This is why I loved my romper and why I wanted another:

1. It was beyond comfortable

2. It was definitely on the trendy side, yet still practical

3. It was good wearing “shorts,” but still being dressed up

4. I was able to chase 4 boys in it (really, for me.. that’s all that matters!)

5. My husband liked it (always a good thing)

So I’m giving rompers more of a whirl…

Moms, you’ll love them!

I think your advice is great!!!! I first saw your videos on youtube and then discovered your website! Love the rompers…so cute. I have three kids (Liam 5, Ava 3 1/2 and Ronan 18mo) so I hear you that comfort is key! Will you be posting any fall fashion ideas soon? Can’t wait for more tips 🙂
