Day 321 of 365 Days of Literacy for Kids:  Fun, Easy, Do-able Daily Lessons with Kids

November 17th is TAKE A HIKE DAY

The word HIKE is a noun and a verb, both referring to a long walk for recreation, exercise or both. A hike offers a wonderful way to experience the treasures of nature.

Check out the American Hiking Society for information on the nation’s trails and the hikers who enjoy them… or venture out to the 10 Best Hiking Trails in the World.

You may wish to stay closer to home, but in any case, draw a map, grab a backpack, pack some healthy snacks and make a plan to get outside today with your kids and grandkids and TAKE A HIKE… the learning will take care of itself.

Join me here each day in November for KNOW-VEMBER: NOVEMBER FUN FACTS – on 365 DAYS OF LITERACY FOR KIDS! – fun, easy and completely do-able.
