The Holiday Shop officially opened at the boys’ school.
They LOVE it.
I give each of them $20, and I mark how much money they are allowed to spend on everyone in our family. They love to “buy” and wrap their own gifts, and I think it’s a wonderful way to show them the importance of giving. They go to the shop with their class, they pick out special gifts for everyone on their list (Mom, Dad and brothers) and then they bag wrap everything at school before they come home.
We’ve been doing this for the last 3 years… first with William, then Alex and then (for the 1st time) our Ben.
They all came home on Thursday excited to hide their wrapped gifts for Christmas morning. Alex asked if I could help him find a good hiding place. As I was going through his gifts and hiding them in a spot where nobody will be able to find them, I came across this…
… yeah, he decided to buy himself a Christmas gift, too.
The justification?
“I had extra money, mom!”
Oh, Alex… I’m so glad I take photos of these things to remember forever.
