Beauty Advice from celebrity makeup artist Sage Maitri

Beauty Advice from celebrity makeup artist Sage Maitri

I had the opportunity to interview the amazing celebrity makeup artist Sage Maitri and I’m so excited to share with you her answers to my mom-beauty questions!

· What is your 5 minute beauty routine?
When I only have 5 minutes to get out the door, I opt for my makeup pick-me-ups: concealer, blush, mascara and lip balm. I use the concealer, like COVERGIRL + Olay Concealer Balm, to hide under eye bags, then add a flush of color to the apples of my cheeks to brighten up my face. Mascara is the perfect finishing touch – it instantly makes you look bright-eyed and wide awake. I love using COVERGIRL Clump Crusher Mascara by LashBlast Mascara because I can quickly build volume without worrying about clumping or flaking. For just a pop of sheer color and instant moisture I always finish with COVERGIRL’s Jumbo Gloss Balm.

· With your celebrity mom clients, do you feel that they look for a more quick and polished look? What changes on the beauty front for them?
My celebrity mom clients love polished, long-lasting looks that work wherever the day may take them, whether to the kids’ soccer practice or a business meeting. The key is versatility and durability. I always suggest carrying a COVERGIRL LipPerfection Lipcolor in their clutches for easy application on-the-go. Constant Coral is a pretty, feminine shade for the summer!

· Why do you love COVERGIRL products so much?
COVERGIRL is so special to me because using it transports me to my makeup beginnings. I loved picking up fun, scented lip glosses colors from the drugstore as a teen and experimenting. It was so fun!

· What do you feel is the biggest beauty question you get from moms?
The biggest beauty question I get from moms is how to look and feel great from the time the kids wake up until the time they fall asleep. As a mom, you never know where the day may take you, so it’s a bit difficult to schedule personal glam time. I suggest starting with a simple base – concealer, mascara and blush – then carrying pressed powder and lip color in your bag for quick touch ups.
