Easter Basket Ideas: Must Have Essentials for Easter Baskets

Easter Basket Essentials

Easter is in 2 weeks.

My sons LOVE Easter morning because they run around our house looking from top-to-bottom for their Easter Baskets. Every year their Easter Baskets get harder and harder to find… that Easter Bunny is a clever little bugger! Since the boys were babies, we’ve filled Easter Baskets to the brim with candy and fun little trinkets and toys. We usually have a theme going each year, this year… shhh, don’t tell… will be all about Minecraft. I hear the Easter Bunny found some really great tees and toys at Target a couple of weeks ago!

The toys in their Easter Baskets always change, but it’s the candy and the treats that stay the same.

As my husband says, “We need to get the Easter Basket Essentials!”

Regardless of what else is in the baskets, we ALWAYS make sure we have them jam-packed with certain items. It’s special for my husband because many of these items were in HIS Easter Basket so many years ago. It’s that full-circle moment, or… the Easter tradition continuing!

Here are the Must Have Essentials for your Child’s Easter Basket:

1. PEEPS

2. Cadbury Eggs

3. Jelly Beans

4. Lindt Chocolate Bunny
*I love this. The iconic Lindt GOLD BUNNY is the only bunny that gives back, raising funds and awareness for Autism Speaks through a 10-cent donation for each bunny sold through April 20, 2014, up to $100,000.

5. Robin Eggs

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg

7. Reese’s Pieces Carrot

8. Lindt Gold Bunny and Friends

To balance out the candy…

9. Apple

10. Oranges
