Peeps, Easter Egg Hunt, Pretty Dresses and a Baptism #EasterWeekend

Our Easter Holiday was a whirlwind. We drive to Pittsburgh on Friday morning (we were in NYC together, so it was “only” a 7 hour drive) and had to leave last night at 4PM (a 10 hour drive home) to head on back!

Yup, that’s 17 hours in the car in 3 days.

But… the good news – we had a ton of fun and were ultra busy for 2 FULL days in the Burgh with my husband’s family.

Here’s a little recap of our Easter vacation away!

Saturday we had a great big Easter Egg Hunt at my mother-in-law’s house with their cousins and Pittsburgh friends! It was so much fun to see everyone. But most of all, my sons get super competitive with the Easter Egg Hunt… yes, even with their 3 year old cousins, so it was funny watching them try to scoop up and get as many eggs as possible!

Then… later that night, Matt took the boys and his father to play baseball. My father-in-law – who is the best – was playing baseball with William when one of the throws William tossed him crashed right into his face! He started bleeding like crazy and it gave him a black eye! He was a good sport about it because William felt TERRIBLE! Here were the guys after the damage on Easter morning!

And then it was Easter Sunday! Victoria’s 1st Easter. I bought her a gorgeous Carter’s dress at JCPenney’s last week that I literally just drooled over for her. She looked adorable! The pink flower just was the perfect addition to the crisp, white dress. The boys all wore handsome polos that I bought them last week at Target. I loved seeing them in preppy tops, they always look so cute to me. After Easter mass we had my niece and nephew’s Baptism. I was asked to be the Godmother to both of them, which just warmed my heart… so we spent a beautiful Easter Sunday Baptizing my niece and nephew, too. It was a perfect day!

It was a full day!

And then… the yucky part, the DRIVE HOME. The 10 hour drive home! We got home at 1AM, so it was long drive, but it was a fun 2 days in Pittsburgh!!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends!
