Dear Baby Brian,

I love you. And not just because I’m your Mom and I’m supposed to love you. You are an incredible, delightful, remarkable little human being and it’s hard to believe there was ever a time when you weren’t in my life. You are my best friend.

I love your smile and your laugh, both of which you are quick to offer. I love how you grab on to my finger or my shirt when you fall asleep in my arms. I love the purring sounds you make when you’re eating.

You think your fingers are the most delicious snack ever. You are mesmerized by your anchor and whale mobile. You love kicking your legs like you’re going to launch off of your changing table (don’t worry, I’m always right there to make sure you don’t).

You are 3 months old today – and these last three months have been life-changing for me. Of all the roles in my life, I feel most at home as a Mom. I’m so grateful that you are mine and I am yours.
