I ran the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon yesterday morning.

It was the most exhilarating, heart-pumping, joyous and cool experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not a big runner, but I do love to workout and keep myself in shape. As a mom of 5 and working full-time, it’s not always easy to fit in a workout. I partnered up with my good blogging friends Nadia from Childmode.com and Natalie from HotMomsClub.com to start and finish the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon.

We have been each others cheerleaders for the last few months as we’ve been training and really trying to help keep each other on track (literally).

Beyond the training… the most FUN part for me of the Princess 1/2 Marathon was dressing for the part. What to Wear to a Disney 1/2 Marathon? Well, it’s different for everyone… but one thing I will say across the board – everyone wants to be DISNEY FESTIVE! There isn’t anyone running in just “basic” workout clothes. Everyone has skillfully thought about a fabulous outfit to wear and runs proudly and Disney fashionably away!

I decided to channel one of my favorite Disney characters… Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping Beauty

I have always loved the color PINK, so I wanted to be a PINK splash of color and festivity during the race! I knew I couldn’t actually wear a PINK gown, but I knew I could find some bright, bold pink attire and run 13.1 miles in them!

So how did I create my own-personal-running-version of Sleeping Beauty?

I found some pink. Lots of it. From HEAD to TOE!

I know… over the top, but I LOVED it and I felt like a true Disney Princess!

Princess 1/2 Marathon

I loved being in all pink. It felt VERY Disney and VERY Princess.

What I’m Wearing:

Headband – Sparkly Soul (STAYED PUT THROUGH 13.1 MILES! Best ever!)

Top – Nike Zip-up with a Converse Sports Bra that I bought at the Expo

Skirt – Sparkle Athletic that I bought at the Expo (BEST skirt to run in, you don’t even feel it on!)

Leggings – Under Armour, as pink as I could find them

Socks – Under Armour in PINK

Sneakers – Nike PINK Sneakers that I bought especially for the race to match me from head-to-toe

Here I am breaking it down —

Best race ever.

Felt like a true PRINCESS… !
