31 Days of Gratefulness – Day 4

Gratitude Quote

If you’re just tuning into these posts, I’m sharing throughout December 31 things I’m grateful in my life. I have always believed that being a grateful person is the best way to be. As 2015 is coming to an end… I thought it would be fun to share some of the things that I’m grateful for and encourage you to do the same.

Today I’m grateful for my Christmas Tree.

Christmas Tree

I don’t know exactly what it is about a Christmas Tree, but I’ve always felt so peaceful when one is up in my home. Even as a child, I remember coming downstairs in the morning or coming home from school and just doing homework by it at night – it always made me feel just peaceful. I love, love, love putting it up… it’s truly my favorite time of year.

My Victoria has been sick with an awful head cold, so she’s been up since 2AM this morning. She finally went back to sleep around 4AM today, so I just decided to come down and get some work done. I didn’t turn on any lights when I came down, just the tree. I’ve been sitting by it doing work and just loving it. It makes me smile. It makes me feel safe and peaceful and relaxed.

I’m grateful for this tree today.

It’s nothing spectacular. It’s nothing extraordinary.

But it’s ours.

And I love it.

It’s a simple thing to be grateful for, but it’s something that means so much to me.

What are YOU grateful for today? Share it with me!

And… HAPPY FRIDAY!
