Loved Speaking at the Leading Lady Event in Providence

There’s something about incredible about being with women and talking business, social media, following your passions and dishing about the HUSTLE that we all do every single day.  There’s a kinship between women. We get each other. We hear each other. We support each other. We’re all in this together and when you find a group of women who believe the same way, magic happens.

Last night I had the amazing opportunity to speak at the Leading Lady Event in Providence, RI hosted by Providence Monthly and the Lady Project. Over 50 women came to network and it was a full room of creative, passionate women. I was asked to speak on their 3 x 3 featured panel last night – it goes like this: 3 women, 3 minutes to share. We were told to share about how to market your brand and since I’m my own brand, I spoke about (as an entrepreneur) how I use social media to market myself every single day.

Three minutes flies by in a flash, so I wanted to make sure everyone had at least one good takeaway from me. I told everyone to make sure they know the audience they are speaking to on different platforms. The same person you’re talking to on Instagram is not the same on Facebook. The person you’re talking to on Twitter, is not the same on YouTube. Define who you want to find online and make sure you’re finding them. I know it’s not something everyone wants to hear, but you really need to be everywhere your audience is online. Is it Facebook? Twitter? YouTube? Pinterest? Instagram? Snapchat? Find where they are and who they are and talk to them, consistently.
