Reflections Before the Results Are In… #Vote

I’ve never been a big political person. In all honesty, I kind of have always joked that I know more about entertainment news than the actual news! Not good, I know. This election has made me change quite a bit. I’ve learned that I need to be in the know when it comes to politics. I’ve learned that I need to know policies and laws and changes that the government is looking to make. I’ve learned first-hand the importance of each and every vote. That we ALL matter. That we ALL count when it comes to voting. That we ALL need to teach our youth the importance of voting.

I voted today with my 5 kids by my side.

It was emotional for me.

I hope my kids remember November 8th, 2016.

I hope my kids know how important this YEAR was for it to vote and feel included.

Before the results are announced tonight, I just wanted to say that everyone’s voice needs to be heard and needs to count.

I hope and pray our kids see this, embrace this and always remember this. Forever.
