What to Wear for Easter

When I was a little girl, the ONLY thing about Easter that I got excited for was wearing a pretty dress. My mom would always buy my sister and I matching dresses, and they would always be shades of pinks, yellows or purples. It’s funny how a memory can really bring back some wonderful feelings for you. When I became a mom myself, I always started to dress my 4 sons alike for holidays, too. I absolutely thank my mother for that adorable fashion tip! Now that I have a little girl, I’m all about finding adorable dresses for her for holidays, including Easter. Since Easter was always one of my faves, I want it to be the same for her, too. I want her to look back and always remember that I found her the cutest, sweetest, most adorable styles!

And even though I’m not a little girl anymore, I still love to dress up for Easter, along with my entire family (husband included!). When shopping for Easter fashions, I usually always stick to 3 fashion rules:

  1. Spring Colors – I love finding clothing for my family that exudes SPRING! Happy colors! Nothing too dark.
  2. On-trend Fashions – I love adding in a trend that’s now and current!
  3. Versatility – I love being able to wear my Easter picks again and again. There’s no point just wearing something once, I love fashion longevity.

Last week I shared with you that I partnered with BJ’s Wholesale Club this Easter holiday to show that BJ’s can truly be a one-stop shopping destination for all of your Easter needs. From what to serve for your Easter feast to dressing for the holiday to creating fabulous Easter baskets, BJ’s has you covered from beginning to end! I love that I can get everything I need for my family and the ones I love at one single BJ’s weekly shopping trip! I appreciate how easy and convenient BJ’s makes it for a busy mom like me to get everything I need (and then some!) during my trips there. Since Easter is a holiday that is very special to us, it’s even more important for me to make sure I get everything that I need to make it meaningful for my family, too.

So let’s talk Easter FASHION at BJ’s! I found the perfect fashion options for me, my husband and my daughter while at BJ’s last week! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to score the perfect looks for the holiday. Since we dress up for morning mass and brunch, I really wanted to make sure my husband and I were covered, along with my daughter.

Let’s start with my husband! He’s always fun to shop for because he is such a casual dresser, so when I get the opportunity to “dress him up” I have a ton of fun!

I wanted to go for a classic look for Matt, but also hone in on the fact that he loves the color blue. I found Berkley Jensen Twill Pants, Checkered Button-Down Shirt and Boat Shoes for him for Easter! I love the checkered shirt because checks are such a BIG trend right now, but it’s also shades of blue… so he will love it! You can’t go wrong with a classic khaki pant, so I scored big on those. He can wear these over and over and over again. For shoes, since I know he’s running after 5 kids with me, I loved the boat shoe option. It’s classic, dressy, but also casual at the same time. I love this look for him!

For my daughter I wanted to go with frills and lace and fun! Victoria is such a fashionista, so I wanted to make sure I played up on that aspect! Little Lass had the cutest (ever!) options for little girls! I ended up grabbing an adorable dress with a cute lace overlay on the bottom of the dress. I know she’s going to say she looks “fancy” in her dress! It really is as cute as can be! Since I know Victoria loves to keep up with her brothers, I always have another more casual option for her to change into after mass. Little Lass had some pretty 2-piece options, too! Since yellow is such an Easter color, I found a great option for her to pop on! I love it! Super sweet and she’s ready for Easter!

For my own outfit, I wanted to go with something that was light and bright. I love pastel colors for the holiday because it’s SPRING! Ronni Nicole had some beautiful and trendy options that were so pretty! I found a yellow dress with a lace overlay (which matches Victoria!) that I fell in love with for the day! I thought it would be perfect to wear to mass and brunch! I don’t normally wear yellow, so I love that I’m branching out a little bit this year! I thought it was very pretty and elegant and classic to wear. BJ’s also had a sweet option in shoes for me, too! They have Berkley Jensen Sandals that match my dress to a T! I love that I was able to get a full look for myself while buying everything else, too! Talk about getting it done! I love it!

So as you can see, we’re all set on the fashion front for the Easter holiday! Please note that there are select clubs offering apparel for the whole family.  Make sure you check back next week as I share options for your kids’ Easter baskets at BJ’s! They have it all there, can’t wait to show you what I scored for the kids!

Very darling outfits for you three. I love the lace and the length. I must tell you that we don’t dress up too much for Easter, but perhaps your style has changed my mind. So simple yet darling.

I think my wife already has everything lined up for us this year. I actually don’t even attempt to dress myself anymore. Vera just takes care of it all. LOL

We don’t really do anything for Easter, but back in the day, I was forbidden to pick out my own clothes for Easter. My GF informed me that “going out jeans” are not a thing.
