Disney Polynesian Resort

If you asked me what my favorite Disney Resort is, I would answer in a heartbeat… The Disney Polynesian Resort. Maybe because it’s the very 1st resort I ever stayed in years ago when I first came to Disney World. Maybe it’s because I truly feel like I’m whisked away into another world. Or maybe because it’s just the most beautiful place to me. Regardless – the Disney Polynesian Resort is a triple thumbs up for me when you’re looking to stay on property at a Disney World resort.

What makes the Disney Polynesian Resort so special?

From the second you enter the Disney Polynesian Resort you feel transformed into a magical world. It’s the most incredible feeling to walk in and be greeted with a lei and smell the coconut in the air! I swear – I’ve actually asked if it’s possible to buy the scent in the air! You feel your whole body just relax and all the stresses you *may* have come with just melt away as you enter this gorgeous resort.

Polynesian is true paradise. It’s directly across the lagoon from the Magic Kingdom Park, which makes it so convenient for the guests. But truly – what does it for me is that guests are transported to the tropics with its lush gardens, white-sand beaches, and freeform pool with slide and waterfall.

But what is it about the Polynesian that truly makes me want to have you check it out? What makes it so amazing and so delightful and so enchanting?
I’m just going to say it – Bungalows.
OK, I’ll repeat – Disney Polynesian Resort Bungalows.
They are everything and I can’t get enough of them. I’ve been hearing about them for the last year, but never had the chance to view one or see one up close and personal. I was thrilled to hear that on my press trip I would get the chance! When it comes to going away with my family, we need a large space. I don’t want to divide up. I don’t want to get 2 rooms. I want to be together. I want to be in the same space. What I LOVE about the Bungalows is that we could all easily fit in one. It’s truly how a Disney family vacation should be! Disney vacations are supposed to be filled with life long memories – if you’re not with the people you love – how can you make memories? Thankfully the Disney Polynesian Resort delivers on bringing everyone together.
Truthfully… the second I saw them, I fell in love. The are stunning!

How amazing do these look? Right on the water, too! You literally have your very own oasis!

The mid-century modern design meets traditional Polynesian style in a blissful union of Disney heritage and the South Pacific spirit of aloha. Amazing, right?
But wait – there’s more! When you walk inside the Bungalows you are brought home. You enter a beautiful home that will keep you safe and sound while visiting the magical world of Disney.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offers private accommodation option for guests, featuring 360 deluxe studios and 20 over-water Bora Bora-inspired bungalows. Inside each bungalow, travelers will find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a private deck with hanging chairs and a pool, and a view of Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella Castle. Studios feature queen-sized beds, sleeper sofas and pull-down beds. Plus, bedding down here grants guests shared used of the larger Polynesian property’s perks, such as the on-site Seven Seas Lagoon and Lilo’s Playhouse kids club. Guests also praise the stellar views – which include Disney’s famous evening fireworks – and the on-site ferry and monorail transit options to Walt Disney World. For dining, there’s the Hawaiian-themed eatery ‘Ohana, which has earned a round of applause from guests for its delicious buffets and kid-friendly activities like coconut races and hula hooping. Because this Orlando, Florida, property is affiliated with Disney, Disney Vacation Club members can redeem points here.

The bedrooms have you at hello! You just want to sink right into the beds! The rooms are so beautiful and peaceful and serene.

I personally love that there is a full kitchen, too! I love that I can make food for my family. Every single time we go away I always have to buy milk for my kids. I love that there’s a fridge (full size) and microwave to help me out! Do you know how amazing this is for a family? It’s tremendous and not for nothing, helps cut down on food bills, too! I love that Disney makes it easy for families to enjoy this beautiful resort.

And I can’t forget the living space! I know you can’t see it that well in this photo, but the living room overlooks the lagoon which is where you can see the fireworks! There’s so much space here, too. You *might* not even turn on the TV! OK… if you do, it better be Disney, but still – this space allows for such function. You can spread out and enjoy this gorgeous space in one of the most beautiful and magical places on earth!

I haven’t even showcased the best part yet! THE WRAP AROUND DECK! I mean… this is something I wish I had at my own house at home!! How amazing is this?? Right outside your living room and kitchen space you’re greeted with this incredible view and escape. You can just sit and relax and chill with yourself or your loved ones!

Just so you know – you would only find me out on back deck. It’s stunning and just the perfect place to unwind. I could lose track of all time out back! With the porch swings, it’s the most relaxing and peaceful place to be! I was whisked away!

I’m telling you right now, this is one of my favorite places to stay. I can’t wait to stay here with my family someday soon! I know they will all fall in love with it as much as I did!
