Disney's Art of Animation Resort - Stylish Life for Moms

While touring some of the incredible Disney World resort properties last week during my press trip I had the opportunity to visit Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for the very first time. OMG. This resort is absolutely, positively amazing! The only time I’d ever been to this resort before was on the Magic Express picking up passengers for the airport. I always loved the driving up through this resort because it was always so colorful and fun and animated looking! Let me tell you – finally being able to walk inside and see firsthand Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – this resort is extraordinary for young kids! It’s like walking into your favorite animated movies!

Share the adventure of a story-inspired room. And have a blast in our 3 themed pools. There’s gnarly fun for little ones at our Schoolyard Sprayground or Squirt’s Righteous Reef. What I loved about Disney’s Art of Animation Resort was that you will walk away with your little ones talking about this experience for years on end! I couldn’t stop talking about it to my kids when I got home! My kids are truly HUGE fans of the movies Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid… and it is truly like walking into one of these magical Disney worlds when you stay here. It was the first time I truly understood the magic of the name Disney World.

The second you walk into Disney’s Art of Animation Resort you are greeted with the most adorable and sweet sketches on the wall. I was excited about seeing them, so I can only imagine how a little kid would feel! The second I saw Ariel from The Little Mermaid, I lit up! That’s my Victoria’s favorite of all!

I’m a big lover of a good pool! It’s the ONE thing my kids always seem to ask me when they hear I book a hotel for our family, “Mom… is there a pool?” There were 2 pools and they were fabulous! I’m telling you – the best part about seeing these pools was that I knew we could spend an entire day here without even going to the parks! How many times can you say that when you go to Disney World?

Take the plunge in the Largest Resort Pool in Walt Disney World Resort. Inspired by the Disney•Pixar movie Finding Nemo, the pool features state-of-the-art underwater speakers—a first for Disney Resort hotels. Additionally, there’s an interactive water play area for little ones located nearby.

Two more pools—Cozy Cone Pool, inspired by the Disney•Pixar film Cars, and Flippin’ Fins Pool, featuring the “Under the Sea Orchestra” conducted by Sebastian from The Little Mermaid—are also available to Guests looking to cool off.

Immerse yourself in the magic of spacious accommodations for parties up to 6—with room for the whole family to spread out—inspired by some of your favorite animated movies. Family suites include a bedroom with one queen-size bed; one double-size convertible TableBed; one double-size sleeper sofa; living room; 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette.

We got to see the rooms in the Nemo section… Cars… and The Lion King. It’s like walking into a movie and you just want to stay. My boys were HUGE Cars fans when they were little guys. It actually made me tear up walking throughout the Cars section because it really brought me back. I just kept thinking how much my guys would’ve loved this as little kids. And The Lion King? Oh, my… it was everything!

I mean… that’s pretty amazing, right!?

But it’s more than just the decor within the rooms, it’s the beauty around you, too! It’s everywhere – in all the touches. I was truly just blown away by the amazingness… I couldn’t stop snapping photos!

Honestly… it’s just extraordinary. There are so many awesome touches, too at this resort. They have Movies Under the Stars – where you can watch some of your favorite Disney films outside in the fresh evening air—located on the grassy area found between The Lion King building and Finding Nemo building. I mean… it’s just a wonderful spot to stay.

5 Reasons to Consider Disney’s Art of Animation Resort:

Value hotel on the Disney property, which means that this price will be more reasonable than many of the other Disney resort properties.
There’s plenty to do here in terms – different sections to explore. Each resort has their own amazing features, but this one truly will bring magic alive to your child! It was that kind of spectacular.
Easy transportation to the parks here, too. Don’t be put off by it being a little bit away from the Parks.
There’s an incredible arcade here – the biggest one out of all the Disney Resorts. It’s a fun “change” for kids to explore and play while here.
Be dazzled by the sketches and there’s even artists there during certain hours (check at the desk) to help your kids learn ow to sketch! I had one done while I was there, along with my sister! It was crazy cool!
