It’s PARTY time! I love this time of year because I feel like I have invitations lined up for all different kinds of parties! The question is – I’m all about figuring our what to wear to party. There are so many different styles and outfits you can wear when it comes to heading to a party. I’m all about wearing some fun and appropriate fashions for parties. I love looking my best, but there’s the thing – if you’re not the host, you don’t want to be over the top with your style. You want to look great, but also feel your best too!

What to Wear to a Party

I’m all about wearing high-waisted pants right now. They are the cutest and the most stylish ever! Everyone should try high waisted pants because they are the chicest item to wear to a party. Thet check every single box. Comfy? Yes. Fashionable? Yes. Appropriate? Yes. Flattering?

Yes. If you literally have NO TIME to plan ahead a full outfit when you’re trying to figure out what to wear to a party – GRAB THE HIGH WAISTED PANTS. They will work every single time, I promise. There’s no better day than today to flaunt a pair of high waisted pants because you can find a pair just about anywhere right now!

Why do I love a fab pair? These pants are chic in any occasion and high waisted pants can easily go from the office to after-work drinks with retro, statement-making style. They are a staple for a party because regardless of what you’re celebrating, they work. Graduation party? Yes. Work party? Yes. 4th of July party? Yes. Birthday party? Yes. Bridal shower? Yes. Baby Shower? Yes. Try it – think of a party theme and regardless as to what it is, these pants will work. You never have to stop and think again about what to wear to a party, you have this  safe go to look and outfit on reserve!

I found these fabulous high waisted pants at Target. I’m only 5 feet, so I’m going to be honest with you. I never ever thought in a zillion years that I could pull off these pants. Actually – I was certain that I couldn’t! I didn’t think they would work with my body type because I felt like they would make me look smaller than I was. I always was afraid the pants would drag on the ground when I tried to walk. I just wasn’t sure and stayed away from them for years. Even when everyone was going gaga over the high waisted jeans last year, I stayed away and now I’m kicking myself for doing that! I love them!

I have to say, I have some tips for wearing high waisted pants when you’re thinking of what to wear to a party. My personal fashion advice?

• Wear a tighter tank or tee with them. If the legs are going to be wide and the waist is going to be high, you need to make sure whatever top you’re wearing is tight enough to look flattering for you. You don’t want anything loose or hanging over. It will really look like a bad fit.
• Make sure you add some color. I grabbed this black tank, but I thought a yellow or rose or red colored tank would be fun to add with this look, too! I feel like you can really have some fun with some colors and patterns. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns either!
• Wear HIGH HEELS! I feel like this should be my biggest piece of advice here. You want to make sure you have your legs as high as can be when you’re wearing high waisted pants because it will help elongate your leg. I loved these pants as is, but when I popped my heels on – WOAH BABY! They really made the look that much more fun and adorable!

I simple love these pants and really feel like I finally found the perfect go to look when I’m trying to figure out what to wear to a party. We’ve all been there, just staring at all of our clothes and not sure what to wear or how to wear something. I have a closet full of things and still get caught up in, would this look OK for the party?  YES! This look would be perfect for ANY party you have coming up and that you’re going to!
