Happy 14th Birthday to my Henry!

Happy 14th Birthday to my Henry! I will say this, the older I’m getting, the more I’m realizing just how much time is a true thief. I hate the fact that my sons are getting older and older, but I also love that they’re growing into wonderful young men. It’s such a bittersweet feeling. I’ll never forget when they were little babies and I felt so overwhelmed rushing around with them everywhere. We had 4 car seats. We had 4 high chairs. We had 4 cribs. What I wouldn’t give to go back to those days, even if just for a day.

But my Henry. My “baby boy” is 14 years old. I simply can’t believe it. This MomGenerations.com blog launched the very day he was born. I’ve always said that MomGenerations.com and Henry share the same birthdate. So when I stop and look at my Henry, I can quite literally chronicle his entire life within the posts on this blog.

As Henry’s getting older, I can’t quite believe that he’s turned into a man. He towers over me now, so I can’t look at him eye to eye unless he’s sitting down. When I go to hug him I need to go on my tippy toes. But he’s still my little man. I still remember the little boy who wouldn’t leave my side. The one that was always glued to me.

Henry wouldn’t leave my lap at dinner…

He was the best thing that ever happened to our little family. I’ll never forget finding out I was pregnant with Henry. I had felt a little off for a few days, and then I was making pasta for the boys and felt a sudden wave of sickness. I immediately went to CVS to buy a pregnancy test convinced that I couldn’t be pregnant… I mean, William was 2 1/2, Alex was 1 1/2 and Benjamin was 6 months old. Well, I’ll tell you what, that pregnancy test lit up positive in a nanosecond. It was the most shocking, but best surprise of my entire life.

My 1st confirmation of Henry!

And now…

Happy 14th birthday to Henry

My Henry. My sweet, handsome little Henry. And now he’s 14 years old.

As always, I love sharing a birthday montage of the last year for my children. I was not the best with baby books, so I have relied on these birthday montage videos throughout the years to chronicle their lives.

Happy birthday, Henry! Love you crazy.
