When I was in 6th grade one of my best friends used to do french braids in my hair during recess every single day. I used to love how it looked and wished upon wished that my mom knew how to do French braids, too.
Well… even though I create hairstyles on Victoria every single day, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. I’ve never been able to French braid or Dutch braid on Victoria’s hair. I can do a messy style, but not one that’s pretty and smooth.
I’ve relied on hair hacks to create the closest I can when it comes to creating French or dutch braids in her hair. I just LOVE how the braids look and think they’re so cute! If you’re someone like me who can’t really create the best French or Dutch braids, hopefully, this hair hack will work well for you!
Hair Tutorial for French Braid Hair Hack
Here’s a quick and easy hair tutorial for French braids.

Step-by-step:
- Start with parting the hair down the middle in the back.
- Grab a section on top and hair tie it.
- Then topsy tail that section.
- Three-strand braid down that section.
- Clip on top.
- Take the rest of the hair on that side and hair tie it.
- Topsy tail that lower section.
- Pull the top braid through the topsy tail hole.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Add ribbons or bows on the bottom.
This is such a pretty hairstyle. Again – if you’re not great at French braiding, this is a hairstyle that you will love to do.
