I’ve officially lost my iPad2. It’s not lost, lost, I know where it is, but it’s gone. It has officially been taken over by the boys.

A few weeks ago, Matt and I attended the Time to Play Toy Fair in New York City. We spread out in search of the coolest toys that we thought the boys might be asking for this Christmas. Matt flagged me down. He had come across theDisney Pixar Cars 2 AppMATes. He was really excited.

Disney Pixar Cars 2 AppMATesare small cars from the Cars 2 movies that turn the iPad into an interactive play mat. When the car is pressed onto the surface of the iPad, it lights up and interacts with the iPad. You can drive around and explore places like Radiator Springs and Tokyo, collect special objects and race. Different characters unlock different areas to explore.

It was unlike anything we had seen before and knew it would be a hit with the boys. They LOVE Cars and playing with the iPad, this combined the two seamlessly.

Needless to say we were really excited when we received McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile in the mail to try out. They boys went NUTS! Seriously, I haven’t touched the iPad since, they refuse to let it go! When I put them to bed, I come downstairs to find Matt playing it. He says it’s really cool!

They’re already putting more characters on their Christmas lists, and I’m thinking they’ll make great stocking stuffers.
