Last night, Brian and I had a two-hour date at the new house.
Sure, we were sanding walls while dressed in our working-on-the-house clothes, and wearing safety glasses and dust masks (not exactly typical “date night” apparel)…
…but we actually had a great time.
With Christmas music playing in the background, we were spending time together, working toward making our new house into our home.
(We may have even taken a break during one dance-worthy song to twirl around the room a little.)
Renovating is a lot of work, and it isn’t always a ton of fun, but doing it all with this guy? As we literally work toward building our future together?
Well, that makes it pretty awesome.
