Ocean State Fun with Nestlé® Splash

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post with NESTLÉ® SPLASH. All opinions are 100% my own.

I’ve lived in Rhode Island for almost my entire life.

I was born here.

I was raised here.

I went to college here.

And I have decided to raise my family here.

Rhode Island is – to me – home.

During the summer months, people travel from all over the world to visit our small state, other known as the “Ocean State.”

Beaches in Rhode Island

We are known for our gorgeous and spectacular beaches. We really do have it all – clean beach water, cool breezes and incredible sunshine. Between Newport and Narragansett – 2 destinations in Rhode Island that are known the most for their beaches, there are some incredible and secret gems that we love to visit in the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I love Newport and Narragansett, but they can get so crowded in the summer with tourists, that I love going off the beaten path and really finding some gems that aren’t as crowded, but JUST as spectacular for my family.

One of my favorite spots to visit is Goddard Park with the kids.

It’s a hidden gem to so many people, even in our own state!

We love to go in the evening – when the sun isn’t as hot – and enjoy family time. As the kids are getting older, it’s more and more important to me to make sure family time is quality time. I just don’t want to be sitting around a blanket on the beach with everyone tuned into an iPad or an iPhone. I want to enjoy my family in a beautiful place. It’s fun to be spontaneous on a random night in the summer and just take blankets and towels and bathing suits, along with a cooler filled with goodies and just PLAY and BE together. It’s exciting. It’s fun. It’s different. It’s ENJOYABLE!

There’s castle building. There’s rock skipping. Everyone tries to see how many times they can skip a rock! There’s wave jumping. There’s time to sit and laugh and talk and be silly.

There’s just the pure beauty of living in this gorgeous state and enjoying these quick and easy trips.

There’s always an adventure we head out with the McClelland crew to Goddard! Nestlé® Splash – one of our summer beverage’s of choice – has the same kind of perspective on life and I love that about it. This summer they are encouraging everyone to be spontaneous, be adventurous and add a Splash of FUN to their day! They believe hydration should be fun, flavorful, and a little bit unexpected and that’s just what they offer!

Nestlé® Splash is purified water with a light “splash” of sweetness and natural fruit flavor. For me, it’s perfection because I don’t want an overwhelming sip of fruit, a splash is what I prefer! With five – Wild Berry, Lemon, Strawberry Melon, Acai Grap and Mandarin Orange – delicious and refreshing varieties to choose from, it is an exciting alternative to sugary or caloric beverages. Each bottle of Nestlé® Splash has zero-calories and zero-sugars so you get all the enjoyment, but none of the calories!

I have vacationed in Rhode Island and I can see why you love it there. Great place to raise your family. I have been looking for a flavored water with just a hint of flavor and Nestle Splash sounds like something I need to try. Going to pick some of this weekend.

I would love to visit the New England area and it sounds as if Rhode Island is to you what Las Vegas is to me. Living in a desert climate has totally made me realize the importance of hydration!

We are really lucky to live just a 10-minute walk from the beach, so most of our summer mornings and evenings are spent at the beach. I had no idea Nestle had flavored water! Have to check them out. I’d love to try their Strawberry Melon one.

I love my hometown here in New York City because it has a fast-paced city feel to it. Some people don’t appreciate that about NYC but it is definitely one of my favorite things about living here.
