Why I'm Excited to See Cinderella AND the Official #Cinderella Movie Trailer

When I was a little girl, I used to watch the Cinderella movie every weekend. It was my favorite movie of all time. My mother had told me it was my “Friday night” and “Saturday night” date movie with mom, dad and sister. To me, I just couldn’t get enough of it. Cinderella was my princess. She was my favorite, magical character of all time.

I loved the story of Cinderella. I loved the happily-ever-after ending. I grew up in a family where my mom and dad have always been head-over-heels in love with each other. So the whole prince charming and true love piece of Cinderella. I LOVED that piece of it. I LOVED thinking and knowing that someday, somewhere I would find my own version of my own happily-ever-after.

It’s funny, I used to wear this blue Cinderella nightgown to bed all the time when I was a little girl… and I know this sounds silly, but I used to feel like Cinderella in it. The magic of Cinderella was real for me… and it made me realize at a very young age that I happily-ever-afters and love was something true and deep and real.

Well… here I am, 30+ (ahem) years later and a NEW Cinderella Movie is being released. To say I’m excited, well… it’s an understatement.

I get experience everything all over again with my own little Cinderella…

I now have my own little Cinderella to watch this version with and enjoy it and love it and have it be magical for her, too. I love that right now, at this very moment in time with my own daughter, there will be a magical version for her to watch for years and years and years to come. I love that it will make her smile and make her cry and make her happy… because those were all the emotions I felt when I watched this magical tale so many years ago.

My daughter. She is my connection to this new Cinderella. The second I saw the previews for it on TV, I got goosebumps. The characters, the music, the beautiful blue of her dress… it all was magical for me and I can’t wait to experience this with my own little princess.

I have found my own version of a happily-ever-after with my prince charming and my 5 children. I love that this is the kind of movie all of us can enjoy together and watch, but truly – it’s extra special to me now with my Victoria.
