She’s all about hair down hairstyles, so I’m constantly trying to come up with some new and different hairstyles to try on her hair. I personally love doing half up half down hairstyles because they’re just fun and so easy to do.
Awhile ago I had done a hairstyle on Victoria where I braided a small section of hair on the side and looped it across the back of her head into a topsy tail section. It looked so pretty and she got a bunch of compliments on it, so I thought it would be fun to try the same kind of hairstyle but with 2 braids.
I have to say, I love it even more! Just the extra braid across on this easy half up half down braided hairdo looked so pretty. I feel like this is the perfect kind of hairstyle for any occasion whether it’s school, parties, special occasions, prom, dances, you name it! It just works beautifully.

Here is the step-by-step tutorial for you to follow:
- Take a small section of hair on one side of the head and divide it in 2 sections.
- Three-strand braid each one of those sections.
- Grab another section of hair on the other side of the head. Add a hair elastic and topsy tail that section.
- Take the braids and bring them across the back of the head and loop them through the topsy tail hole.
- Tighten the topsy tail section so the braids won’t fall out.
- You can add a ribbon to this section.
- I then go back and use my Blinger to add some bling across the braids. It comes out looking SO STINKING cute and pretty!
