BARBIE is all over the place right now! I saw the movie on Friday night and I was mesmerized by it! It was an incredible movie that left me wanting to see it again. I was expecting a range of emotions from the movie. I laughed. I cried. I smiled. It left me feeling good and wanting to give my own mother a gigantic big hug.
Simple Half-Up Barbie Hairstyle
I’ve been all about everything Barbie for the last few weeks! It’s been pink, pink, and more pink for me! I’ve also been trying to come up with some cute and easy hairstyles for the Barbie movie or for anyone just inspired by Barbie. There are certain iconic hairstyles that seem to work, like her high ponytail that I just did on Victoria, and (I feel) this one, too.
With Barbie, it seems to be big hair, which I’ve always loved and appreciated. High ponytail and high half-up hairstyles. This is a hairstyle that I love doing on my own hair, but you can do this on anyone else, too.

How to:
- Hair tie up a small section of hair in front.
- Create another ponytail directly behind it.
- Take the front one, and loosen the hair tie up a bit.
- Split the section and twist it.
- Then pull the bottom ponytail through and tighten it up!
- All set!
My ONLY thing is to just make sure you have those 2 ponytails on top near each other so pulling the bottom one through is easy!

When it comes to hairstyles for kids, I feel like I could write a book! 
We do hairstyles together almost every single day.
1. I know that it’s not always easy to have Victoria sit still, but a book, a device, or just talking time helps. Sometimes we play a game and that will help keep her still (although if you know my girl, she doesn’t like to sit still!).
2. I love using a leave-in conditioner spray on Victoria’s hair before I start. I just like to make sure there aren’t any tangles before we get going.
