When it comes to hairstyles that keep Victoria’s hair up during the warm summer months, I’m all about it! She has long hair and with the heat in the summer, I love making sure it’s up and off of her shoulders. It’s just that kind of HOT and I know having it up will keep her cool.
There are so many different ways to style hair, so it’s fun showcasing them throughout the summer.
Easy summer hairstyles are my favorite because they don’t require a ton of work and can easily be done in the morning. This fun hairstyle for the summer is one you will hopefully add to your hair rotation!

As you can see it’s a pretty easy one to do! I love how simple and fun it is, too! Victoria loves a high ponytail, too – so this made it that much more fun to do in her hair! 🙂
Step by Step:
- Start by using hair styling cream (I share my favorite below).
- Take a small section of hair in the front and three-strand braid all the way down.
- Take the rest of the hair and create a high ponytail.
- Fold the braid into the ponytail.
- I like to use hair wax to make sure everything is nice and smooth.

Here are the hair products that I used for this particular hairstyle.
HAIR ELASTICS
These are the Teenitor hair elastics I’ve been using lately. I was recommended to use them and couldn’t wait to give them a try. Victoria’s hair is on the thicker side, so I need to make sure I have hair elastics that will hold the hair and be extra durable. I also want to make sure the hair elastics won’t damage or crease the hair.

They have stayed in very fine, soft hair through days of gardening. Also, they slide off the braids when grabbed and pull off clean. No rolling and catching the hair to make knots.

You can keep a couple dozen in your purse, another couple dozen in your gym bag, some in your car…you get the idea. Any time you realize you need a hair tie, you’ll have a stash.

HAIR STYLING CREAM
It’s the one question I get asked the most lately, and I love it. It’s important to make sure you prep the hair before you create a hairstyle. I love to use hair styling cream because I know it will help to keep the hair smooth and shiny.
