I’m all about trying to keep Victoria’s hair up as the weather is getting warmer and warmer. With it starting to get so hot, I hate having her hair all sweaty in her face. This is an easy ponytail hairstyle for long hair that you can try on your child or on yourself!
Easy Ponytail Hairstyle for Long Hair
When it comes to trying hairstyles on Victoria, I love to make sure they’re styles that are easy to do. I hate anything complicated. I need the hairstyles to be quick and simple. This one is one of those hairstyles that can be done in a short amount of time and looks like it took a lot longer.
If you love your hair up or just looking for new ways to style it, try this one. I promise you will love it and enjoy how to gets your hair off of your neck in the hot weather!
Hair Tutorial for Simple Ponytail Hairstyle
Here is the full hair tutorial on how to make this one work. You don’t need many hair accessories, honestly – just hair elastics and if you’re feeling up to it, some ribbon, too.
I hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoy seeing it in my daughter’s hair!

Step-by-step hair tutorial:
- Start by adding in hair styling cream (if you have it)
- Part the hair down the middle.
- Take a small section on one side and add an elastic and then topsy tail it.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Take the 2 sections and bring them together and then wrap them around the middle section of hair (you’ll see how I do it).
- Hair elastic the sections together underneath and then bring the remaining hair down.
- You can add a ribbon or a bow, whatever you like!
Again, I just love this hairstyle. It’s so easy and simple and really comes out looking nice. I think it’s just a great overall hairstyle for any occasion.
Hair Products To Use on this Hairstyle
Here are the hair products that I used for this particular hairstyle.
HAIR ELASTICS
These are the Teenitor hair elastics I’ve been using lately. I was recommended to use them and couldn’t wait to give them a try. Victoria’s hair is on the thicker side, so I need to make sure I have hair elastics that will hold the hair and be extra durable. I also want to make sure the hair elastics won’t damage or crease the hair.
- Strong and stretchy: The elastics are not so thin that they break when you try to stretch, but they are not so thick that you can’t stretch them properly. They have stayed in very fine, soft hair through days of gardening. Also, they slide off the braids when grabbed and pull off clean. No rolling and catching the hair to make knots.
- Great deal: This is a great deal on 2000 pieces clear rubber elastic hair bands, enough for braiding different hairstyles. You can keep a couple dozen in your purse, another couple dozen in your gym bag, some in your car…you get the idea. Any time you realize you need a hair tie, you’ll have a stash.
The best part is that you get 2000 for under $7!

HAIR STYLING CREAM
It’s the one question I get asked the most lately, and I love it. It’s important to make sure you prep the hair before you create a hairstyle. I love to use hair styling cream because I know it will help to keep the hair smooth and shiny.
I prefer using Dae Hair Styling Cream.
